His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco says Abu Dhabi holds out enormous potential as a future superyacht hub and has spoken of his wish to visit the UAE capital during next year's inaugural Abu Dhabi Yacht Show (ADYS).

 Emirates Palace makes good headway into US travel and tourism market

General Manager of Emirates Palace Hans Olbertz has revealed the Abu Dhabi iconic property has succeeded in attracting celebrities and stars of the US in the arts, movies and music industry to stay in the hotel and enjoy its premier luxury hospitality.

The Emirate of Abu Dhabi is now one of the most important tourist destinations not only in the Gulf region but also around the world", Simon W. Stamper the Area General Manager for InterContinental Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, has said.

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), which manages the tourism industry within Abu Dhabi, has launched a year-long visitor profile campaign to gain crucial insights into a variety of inbound tourism drivers.
In excess of 5,000 visitors to Abu Dhabi are to be interviewed by a professional research company commissioned to carry out the survey, which touches on a range of issues including spending patterns, length of stay, accommodation preferences and activities undertaken.

 Number of South Korean visitors to Dubai increase 50%

The number of South Korean visitors arriving at Dubai International Airport (DIA) has increased by 50 per cent at the end of the first half of 2008, in comparison with the numbers by end of 2007, according to figures by Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD). DIA registered the arrival of 32,370 South Korean visitors during the first half of 2008 alone, whereas only 42,000 South Korean visitors passed through the airport in the whole year of 2007.
