Efforts at prising open new markets, particularly in Africa, have helped the Dubai Customs Zone Vehicles Free Zone (Ducamz) record volumes of 75,000 units in the first seven months of 2002. Fujairah Free Zone Authority (FZA) attracted US$270 million of foreign investments by the end of last year, recording an increase of up to 25 per cent over the previous year.
