Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced yesterday the launch of its service to India, its eleventh destination in 10 months. Abu Dhabi Aviation yesterday reported a net profit of Dh29.3 million for a second quarter of 2004, making a growth of 5.66 per cent against Dh27.703 million during the corresponding period. Over 84,000 passengers used Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in the first half of 2004 against around 82,000 during the corresponding period last year. Gulf Air's annual report for 2003 shows the strongest financial results in four years, with a 12.1 per cent increase in revenues to 384.6 million Bahraini dinars (US$1.02 billion), against 343 million dinars (US$909.8 million) in 2002, according to the data published yesterday.
