Etihad Airways plans to fly seven million passengers in 2009, an increase of 15% over the previous year, said Etihad Head of Corporate Communication Hareb Al-Muhairy on Monday. UAE aircraft traffic surges 11.5% in May

The aircraft movements in the UAE rose 11.5 per cent in May compared with a year- ago period despite the economic slowdown, according to the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Emirates has just announced an increase to its free baggage allowances provided to passengers. The change is effective for all tickets issued on or after 4th May.
