A total of 18.06 million passengers passed through the airport, registering a growth of 13 per cent over the 15.9 million in 2002. Overall air movement at Fujairah International Airport in 2003 has shown a remarkable growth with the movement of passengers, aircraft and cargo growing at 58,44 and 22 per cent respectively. Dubai Duty Free last month closed with record sales of Dh132 million (US$37 million) which represents a 21 per cent increase over the same period last year. Passenger movement at Dubai International Airport in the third quarter went up to 13.2 million compared with 11.8 million last year, for an 11.8 per cent growth. Fujairah International Airport has recorded 94 per cent growth in passenger traffic during the past six months compared with the same period last year.
