Trade exchange between the UAE and the US stood at US$1.52 billion (Dh5.6 billion) in July this year with exports touching US$149.6 million and imports US$1.37 billion. Japan's exports to the UAE surged nearly 20 per cent in 2012 to US$8.96 billion, compared to the US$7.46 billion in 2011.
