Michigan University announced champions of Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge

The Michigan University team has yesterday been awarded first place in the Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge, while second place went to the United Arab Emirates' Petroleum Institute (PI). UAE solar car beaten to top spot in day two of race

They were first to finish on Day One and continued to lead the pack of solar-powered race cars for most of the 325-kilometre course on the second day of the Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge. The Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institution's team in the inaugural Solar Challenge blew away all competition in the first leg of the race on Friday. Abu Dhabi is set to host the Middle East's first ever competitive solar car competition this week, welcoming students from across the world for the Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge, ADSC.
