National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) signed yesterday three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi (DMA), National Media Council (NMC) and Thuraya Satellite Telecommunications Company. A draft federal law setting out procedures for dealing with major emergencies has been drawn up and is about to be submitted for approval, a senior official revealed yesterday. The first batch of Emiratis stranded in Thailand due to the political unrest there arrived in the UAE on Sunday on a flight especially arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
