The UAE ranked first in the Arab world in advertising spending in the first quarter of this year, registering Dhs1.4 billion compared with Dhs1.32 billion in the same period last year, up by 6 per cent. Advertising spend in the UAE saw a decline of 27 per cent in 2009, according to the Pan Arab Research Centre (Parc).
