UAE reports sharp rise in federal revenue

An increase in government services fees and introduction of new services has sharply boosted the revenues of the federal ministries and kept the budget deficit under control. Abu Dhabi Municipality bagged Dh51million from revenue collection.

The Abu Dhabi Municipality and Town Planning Department has bagged in more than Dh51billion from revenues collected last year, 2002. The amount covers the rent of industrial plots of land, properties, abattoirs, fees collected from car parking lots, gardens and markets.
