The UAE made soccer history yesterday when Ismail Matar struck a last-gasp match-winner against Australia to send the hosts into the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Youth Championships at the Sharjah Stadium. The UAE youth team left Abu Dhabi yesterday for Sharjah where they are scheduled to meet Australia tomorrow, in the second round of the World Youth Championship. The hosts nurse high hopes to register another achievement in the tournament.
