ALDAR Properties PJSC, the leading integrated property development, investment and management company, yesterday announced the signing of an agreement with Movenpick Hotels '&' Resorts for the operation of an upscale resort hotel in the Al Seef precinct on the highly anticipated and sought after Al Raha Beach development.

 Al Maha Desert Resort wins again Conde Nast Award

Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa in Dubai has won for the second time the Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Travel Award. The distinctive desert retreat owned by Emirates Hotels and Resorts, was selected by Conde Naste to join the exclusive list of 20 most luxurious resorts in the MENA region.

Luxury hotel group Jumeirah, member of Dubai Holding, has been voted "Best Business Hotel Chain in the Middle East" by readers of Business Traveller magazines both in the United Kingdom and throughout Asia-Pacific.

General Manager of Emirates Palace Hans Olbertz has revealed the Abu Dhabi iconic property has succeeded in attracting celebrities and stars of the US in the arts, movies and music industry to stay in the hotel and enjoy its premier luxury hospitality.

The Palm Atlantis, a super luxury resort described as a magnificent, oceanic tribute to a mythological age, was opened yesterday in a grand ceremony in Dubai.

Luxury international hospitality management group, Jumeirah, has been appointed to manage a luxury multi-use resort in the Virgin Islands in the United States, occupying the entire western tip of St Thomas, the group said yesterday.

 Expensive Atlantis suite damaged in fire

The US$25,000 (Dh91,850) a night Bridge Suite at the Atlantis resort on Palm Jumeirah has reportedly been damaged by smoke, according to Gulf News sources.
The Bridge Suite is 924 square metres in size. It connects the west and east towers in the centre of the hotel, which is due to open later this month.
However, managing director of Atlantis, Alan Leibman, said on Thursday that only the external section of the roof and lobby dome had been damaged by the fire that broke out on Tuesday

MGM Mirage has secured US$2.3 billion (Dh8.4bn) of the remaining US$3bn in funding needed for its massive CityCenter project on the Las Vegas Strip, the hotel operator's president said.
