Wife of Niger President and Chairperson of Magma Charity Organisation Ayesha Larba Tanja, has lauded the efforts being exerted by the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) under chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the RCA HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to alleviate suffering and improve humanitarian condition in Niger.
The remarks were made during a visit paid by the Niger's first lady to the headquarters of the RCA, where she was received by HE Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi, board chairman of the RCA. The Niger's official complimented the high position being occupied by the UAE in regard to humanitarian work regionally and internationally, citing the positive response of the UAE to long drought and famine in Niger. On his part, Al Ka'abi, stressed that the UAE leadership and the RCA under chairmanship of Sheikh Hamdan were keen to their humanitarian commitments to help victims of natural calamities in Niger, adding that the RCA will boost humanitarian partnership with Magma organisation. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
