The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) announced today that a number of companies had pledged Dh 3.36 million in support of its sponsored humanitarian campaign to aid Palestinians affected by the current events in the Gaza Strip.
RCA Chairman Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi said the relief agency had received urgent contributions of Dh 1 million from Sorouh Real Estate, Dh 1 million from Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Dh 500,000 from Oasis Leasing, Dh 500,000 from Aldar Properties and Dh 365,000 from Abu Dhabi Aviation Company.
'The funds were offered in support of the RCA's relief operations in Gaza," he added.
He commended the prompt response and continuous initiatives from the local community at the time when efforts were accelerating to deliver humanitarian assistance to the distressed population in Gaza. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
