Damascus - The Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has announced the commencement of work on a project for the rehabilitation of the Neirab Palestinian refugee Camp in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
The project, funded by UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) includes removing the 60 years old dilapidated portions of the camp to improve the living conditions of Palestinian refugees.
The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has granted $5 million to implement this project which also includes construction of new housing units and a new health centre in the camp. Neirab, where 18,000 refugees live, has some of the worst living conditions among the Agency's 58 camps. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
