Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, General Manager of Ajman Free Zone, has opened a new representative office of Ajman Free Zone in Karachi, Pakistan, to contribute to the presence of the Free Zone in the region.

The opening of the new office is in line with Ajman Free Zone's global expansion plan after opening offices in India, Dubai and Manchester, UK.

The office will provide support for investment operations and movement of funds of Pakistani customers who aspire to make business in the UAE and GCC.

Al Hashimi said, "The opening of the new office is a logical and expected phase within a strategic framework set by Ajman Free Zone for geographic expansion in international markets". He pointed out that free zone orientations about global expansion are well planned to ensure their integration with local operations and customers' needs and comes in line with the overall vision, set by senior leadership in this respect."

The recently launched new strategic identity of Ajman Free Zone reflects an ambition to become well-positioned for long-term success, both locally and globally.

The opening ceremony was held at the new office in the presence of Pakistani economy and investment officials and businessmen, where Al Hashimi explained that the new office represents an important stage in efforts to reinforce investment in the free zone as the office will be the main contact centre for companies and entities willing to take advantage of investment opportunities in Ajman.

This, he noted, will support development, the local market and creates new business partnerships.

Al Hashimi said that the office will embrace flexibility and transparency in its operations as the AFZ is determined to develop economic and commercial relations.

The general manager of Ajman Free Zone added that expanding operations and increasing investments in Pakistan support the UAE's role as a gateway for global trade. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/economics/1395289338358.html
