The UAE position vis-à-vis the Palestinian question has always been firm and clear, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has said. In remarks shortly after inaugurating an art exhibition, Sheikh Nahyan said the UAE had spared no efforts to ameliorate the suffering of the Palestinian people through varied and sustained humanitarian projects.
Sheikh Nahyan lamented the current tragic conditions in Gaza, noting that the scale of the tragedy requires concerted efforts; particularly in view of the fact that Israel is deliberately bent on destroying the Gaza infrastructure.
"The UAE, guided by the noble principles of its founding father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and encouraged by the visionary leadership of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and with the able support of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has continued to stand by its brethren in Palestine. The UAE will continue to maintain that unequivocal stance until the Palestinian people regain their inalienable rights", Sheikh Nahyan said.
