Johannesburg - His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, has praised the great achievements made by UAE women in national development because of the support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, wife of the President and Chairperson of the UAE Women's Federation, and encouragement provided to UAE women to make effective contributions in all walks of life.

Sheikh Hamad was speaking after a visit on Tuesday night to the UAE Women's Federation's pavilion at the international exhibition being held here on the sidelines of the World Summit on Sustainable Development. Sheikh Hamad went round various sections of the exhibition and lauded efforts being made by the Federal Environmental Agency (FEA), the Environmental Research and Wildlife Development Agency (ERWDA), and Environment Friends Society (EFS), in contributing to the national development and conservation of environment.
