Fingerlings released at Ajman's Al Zawra natural reserve

The Ministry of Environment and Water (MoEW) and the Municipality '&' Planning Dept-Ajman have released some 15000 fingerlings (juvenile fish) into the waters of Al Zawra natural reserve in Ajman.

The release of fingerlings is part of efforts to enhance the fish stocks in the reserve, according to Humaid Al Mualla, the executive director of Public Health and Environment at the Municipality '&' Planning Dept-Ajman. It is also part of efforts towards sustainable development of fisheries and marine resources.

The move is also in line with the vision of the department for a modern and sustainable environment in the emirate. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
