DUINDIGT, THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS: Fajr Qardabiyah, owned by Ali Al Mansoori and trained by Karin van den Bos, won the Wathba Stud Farm Cup 1, run over 2000 metres on Sunday in the H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

This is the first of three Wathba Stud Farm Cup races held at Duindigt racecourse in the Netherlands.

Eight horses started in the race and Fajr Qardabiyah was the favourite as it had already won over 1800 metres last month. The test for the van den Bos runner was the extra furlong, but the 4-year-old under Bart de Koninck was spot on to score a second win this season.
