Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) has appointed CH2M HILL, a global full-service programme management, engineering, construction and operations firm, as the Managing Agent for the potential United Arab Emirates Civil Nuclear Power Programme currently under evaluation.
CH2M Hill has been awarded an initial ten-year contract. In awarding the contract, ENEC expressed its confidence that CH2M HILL is the right partner for this potentially significant energy initiative. The firm will provide ENEC with access to the very best programme management processes the industry has to offer, and the expertise of world-class personnel.

As Managing Agent, CH2M HILL will assist ENEC in assuring the successful implementation of any Civil Nuclear Power Programme introduced in the UAE through all phases, including programme development beyond the conceptual phase.
These responsibilities include prime contractor selection and oversight, implementation of owner's responsibilities to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency recommendations, master programme planning, and licensing and permitting associated with nuclear and support facilities.
CH2M HILL is the top-ranked firm in global programme management. The firm has been working in the UAE on mega programs and currently has over 500 professionals providing technical and programme management expertise in six offices throughout the UAE.
