MoH announces three Swine Flu cases posted on 03/07/2009
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced three new cases of H1N1 virus and that the three patients: UAE national woman, Malaysian woman and Malaysian child have entered into the country from abroad.
The MoH added that the three patients were receiving treatment and their conditions were stable, indicating that other patients who were infected earlier with the disease had been treated and discharged from the UAE Hospitals after complete recovery. – Emirates News Agency, WAM

The Board of the Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund has been reshuffled, according to an Emiri decree issued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as a Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

Festival to boost Arabian racing posted on 03/07/2009
The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach), in association with the Breeding Stables of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has unveiled a four-race series in Europe for Purebred Arabian horses.

Temperatures reach 50C in desert cities posted on 03/07/2009
Hot and hazy weather is continuing across the country, with temperatures jumping to highs and the ground temperature rising to 50 Celsius in Al Ain and other desert cities. There are also strong, dusty winds in some areas.
The official maximum temperature reading for Al Ain, Liwa and Ras Al Khaimah yesterday was 48C, showing the extremely hot conditions.
Meteorologists report only the atmospheric temperature, which is always two to three degrees less than the ground temperature.
