Santo Domingo - The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation sent yesterday a convoy of humanitarian assistance as part of its aid programme targeting quake victims in Haiti.
A Foundation press release said the 7 truck convoy, which carries 200 tonnes of relief, food and medical supplies, is part of the second phase of the Foundation's relief programme instructed by UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Port-au-Prince - The Emergency Response Unit at the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital has given medical and health services to over 100 sick and wounded people on the second day of its launch in Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince.

The Central Bank of the UAE issued a commemorative silver coin on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
"With an alloy of 92.5 % silver and 7.5% cooper, the face of the 40 mm diameter and 40 weight gm depicts the portrait of UAE President H.H. A multilingual booklet "The Worker: Rights and Duties” was released by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Lt. The second phase of the electro-hydraulic underground waste collection system was launched by the Centre of Waste Management — Abu Dhabi in Al Khalidiya on Sunday.
